Did you watch the Oscars? Nope? Me neither.
I used to be a big fan. But since Hollywood stars stopped making movies that interest me, and/or punching each other in the face to liven things up a bit. I’m out.
The biggest movie this year seemed to be the three hour long, The Brutalist. A film about an architect spending years trying to get his dream project off the ground.
But if I wanted to waste my life watching highly paid people not building something, I’d just nip down to Heathrow to see how they were getting on with that Third Runway.
Here’s a brain teaser for you.
Why are there always so many actors in contention for the Best Actor Award?
Daft question you might say. It’s obviously because they are the ones doing all the acting.
And fair enough.
It’s just the same reason that you find so many scaffolders leaping around shirtless, sweary, and intimidating, on scaffolding.
It makes sense right? They’re the ones doing all that scaffolding.
You find bakers in bakeries because they are the ones doing all the baking. And pilots in plane cockpits because they are the ones doing all the piloting. You get the picture.
This basic logic works for everything. Well almost.
Everything except for the criminal justice system.
Why do you find so many criminals in the criminal justice system?
Surely because they’re the ones doing all the crime right?
Wrong.
The reason you find so many criminals in the criminal justice system is because, racism.
At least that’s according to the Sentencing Council, the unelected non government-government quango which decides how long crooks, thieves, and rapists get to spend in prison.
Not very long apparently.
At least not if they belong to one of a few, but ever growing, number of identity groups.
According to new guidelines, members of these favoured groups should automatically be referred for a special, mitigating, pre sentencing report. Which, with a few throat clearing caveats, is basically a Get Out of Jail Free card for scumbags.
And who exactly can expect this special treatment? Well it’s 2025 and Britain, so anyone,
‘From an ethnic minority, cultural minority, and/or faith minority community’ of course.
So that’s basically everyone who isn’t white. All foreigners. Anyone who has trouble speaking English.
And members of all religious groups. That’s all of them. Not just that one.
But yeah. Mainly that one.
Also included, because they are so oppressed they are hardly ever represented in every single TV show, discussion programme, advert, documentary, radio broadcast, public debate, Eurovision Final, daytime soap opera, or what we used to call zebra crossings, is any
‘Offender who has disclosed they are transgender’
I like the use of ‘disclosed’ here. As if members of the judiciary would be unable to glean which offenders fell into this cock-eyed category if it wasn’t ‘disclosed’ to them
Hey, which one, in this room full of defendants, is the transgender woman up for aggravated sexual assault?
Is it perchance that exquisitely feminine lady over there? The six foot five one in the Laura Ashley dress, with the platinum blonde wig, clown make up, and tattoos?
Dunno. Without ‘disclosure’ there is literally no way to tell.
Of course in reality, the issue isn’t that transgender people aren’t being sent to prison, they are. It’s just that the justice system has been sending them to the wrong ones.
We were informed right up until five minutes ago that claims we were living with a Two Tier Justice System, were pure conspiracy theory, the raving fantasy of dishonest agitators, low information critics like me, who had jumped on a ‘far right bandwagon’.
And yet here is the proof. Right there in Oppressed and White.
We’ve heard a lot about this unelected quango, The Sentencing Council, but who actually gets to sit with their thumb on the scales of justice, bestowing their own enlightened version of fairness, a kind of compassionate colonialism, down upon the rest of us, the little people?
Well it might surprise you to learn that the council is made up of regular citizens who have themselves fallen victim to a wide range of criminal behaviour.
Currently the council comprises of three members of the public whose homes were burgled. A lady who had been robbed at knife point in a car park. One man who had been beaten up for being Jewish. Six shopkeepers who had their stores ransacked by shoplifters. The grown up victims of a number of grooming gangs. And a hundred and eighty random people who have had their phones nicked off them on a night out.
Only joking!!
Of course not. There is no way the elites would allow such a powerful body as the Sentencing Council to be made up of regular people with first hand experience of the devastating effects of crime. That’s far too sensible an idea.
Instead the council is stuffed to the gills with the sort of elite do gooders, pearl clutchers, social workers, bleeding heart liberals, lawyers, technocrats, civil servants, and makeweights who always end up running these nominally impartial and independent, but far-left and captured, institutions.
Unelected bureaucrats who unfailingly seem to prioritise the interests of criminals, thugs, and crooks, over the interests of the law abiding majority
This week the Daily Telegraph published a handy Top Chumps guide to some of the great and the good who squat, imperious, on its illustrious benches. Let’s meet a few of them.
Beverly Thomason OBE claims that the criminal justice system suffers from
“systemic racism and racial inequality”.
Yes Bev. Well it certainly does now. Thanks to you lot.
Also sitting on the Council is Stephen Parkinson, the Director of Public Prosecutions.
First Kier Starmer and now Stephen Parkinson. They haven’t exactly had a lot of success filling the role of DPP recently.
It’s the judicial equivalent of the last few regenerations of Dr Who.
Stephen likes to boast about ‘being an ally’ of BLM.
Fair enough. Though it has always amazed me how people at the very highest levels of Britain’s progressive regime found it so much easier to identify with a fentanyl snorting armed robber from Minneapolis, USA, than the poor, beleaguered victims of crime back here, literally on their own doorstep.
Council member Johanna Robinson, sees so much oppression swirling around her every day that she has been compelled to invent a new word to describe the horror of it all.
Though this new term, ‘minoritised’, sounds to me like the sort of thing schoolkids in the 1980s were taught to do with fractions.
‘First find the common denominator, and then ‘minoritise’ the remainder’
But I’m just a reactionary, gammon faced, thicko. So best ignore me.
According to the clever, good people, at the Law Society. (The actual Law Society!!!) This made up, nonsense word refers to people who
‘have been minoritised through social processes of power and domination rather than just existing in distinct statistical minorities”.
No. I have literally no idea what this gobbledegook means either, but you can be pretty sure it basically boils down to,
‘It’s all white people’s fault’.
The Telegraph also singles out, unfairly in my opinion, another council member, Chief Constable Rob Nixon, for introducing mandatory diversity training for the Leicestershire Police Force.
But we can hardly hold that against him. After all, there’s basically mandatory diversity training before you can book your car in for an MOT these days.
Condemning the police for introducing diversity training is a bit like lambasting an NHS worker for wearing a rainbow lanyard. Or criticising someone from theTavistock Clinic for desperately trying to castrate your kids. It just goes with the territory.
The revelation of these new guidelines has rightly caused a political storm. Even Labour’s Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood is up in arms.
She’s aghast that unelected technocrats are freeing crooks, drug dealers and thieves from prison. And no wonder.
After all, that’s her job.
Shabana assumed she’d made that clear to all, when, twenty minutes after their Tory-crushing election victory, Labour repayed the tentative trust which had been placed in it by reluctant British voters by releasing a tsunami of robbers, crims and scumbags onto our streets.
The infallible logic being that the prisons were so overcrowded, the only way to free up spaces was to let out all the crooks.
Now the Justice Secretary is desperately trying to bin these new rules quicker than Nigel Farage can dump Rupert Lowe.
But not so fast Shabana.
The Labour Party, at least in its current form, is literally built on divisive hateful, far-left, racist policies like this.
In fact this actual guidance was based on an ‘independent’ (stop laughing at the back) review into racial disparities in the justice system carried out in 2017 by David Lammy. The fair minded moral titan who once, sorry twice, dismissed all 17.4 million British people who voted for Brexit as ‘Nazis’.
Yeah. So he’s impartial.
We have long been told by people like Lammy that the British justice system is racist. And now we have the incontrovertible proof.
It is racist. Against white people.
But not just white people.
These sentencing guidelines are also racist against black people, and ethnic minorities.
Because clearly the assumption of the sort of the elites who run august bodies such as the Sentencing Council, the Labour Party, and even the revealed assumption of David Lammy himself, is that ethnic and cultural minorities are simply too criminal, too weak minded, and too immoral to be held to the same standards as other citizens.
The presumption being that they need special privileges, exemptions, and concessions, because they are less capable of making moral choices, obeying laws, and living virtuous lives than everyone else.
And if that’s not racist I don’t know what is.
It’s clear that the Sentencing Council prefers non custodial sentences to locking up crooks. To rehabilitate, rather than incarcerate. Perhaps a noble, if naive, goal.
One council member has written how their own benign and enlightened approach contrasts with
But for the most part the public is not hankering after retribution, reprisals or revenge.
While there are of course some offenders who none of us would shed too many tears over, if they unfortunately tripped over a shank in the D Wing showers, for the most part, we simply want to see these reprobates locked up in jail.
Away from us, our streets, and our kids.
And if they are foreign criminals, (and there seems an awful lot of those), we want to see them quickly deported, with minimal cost and fuss, back to where they came from.
So that we, the law abiding majority, regardless of our race, sex, religion, or ethnic origins, can get on with our lives without the constant fear of being robbed, raped, burgled, beaten, or murdered in our beds.
In short, we simply want a justice system which is equal, just, fair, and blind.
Is that really too much to ask?
According to the Sentencing Council, yes it is.

I’ve completely skated over the constitutional implications of so many nakedly political decisions falling under the purview of unelected bureaucratic bodies like the Sentencing Council. It’s an important and genuinely fascinating subject. If you would like to learn more I’d suggest this very readable and informative article from C.J. Strachan is a good place to start.
I look forward to seeing you in the comments. Just a quick note. Any racist comments will be deleted. I haven’t got time to police that.
And as regular readers will know I encourage different viewpoints and debate here. But if your comment opens with an insult directed at me, or my work then it will simply be ignored. Substack isn’t X. Let’s keep it that way.
